In Gaza, schools are overcrowded, with 65 percent operating on double shifts. Children also endure cyclical escalations of violence, which increases the risk of school drop-out rates.

Despite these challenges, Palestinian school children show incredible resilience, with a literacy rate of over 99 percent, and more than 90 percent graduating from primary school to pursue secondary education. It is crucial to protect and support these children as they courageously strive for a brighter future.

Human Appeal is dedicated to supporting school children in Palestine. From August to October, we will be providing Back to School Kits to the most vulnerable, poverty-affected children in the middle Gaza Strip area.

Each kit includes a school bag, school uniform, notebooks for Arabic and English, a geometry set, pens, pencils, rulers, and other essential items that many families cannot afford.
