The numbers of people fleeing their homes as the violence in the city intensifies are extremely worrying. Over 350,000 people are living in host communities: staying with family, friends or in government sponsored hosting arrangements. This is placing a strain on already vulnerable communities.
This leaves a further 320,000 people living in camps who need access to food, water and medical aid right now.
There are a very concerning level of trauma injuries. In the past 9 months of the most recent fighting, over 15,00 people had to be treated for injuries they received. This meas that many people leaving their homes in Mosul are in serious danger.
Human Appeal continues to work in both Eastern and Western Mosul, often right at the edges of the areas seeing the worst of the fighting, providing help. They need us to get support to the people of Mosul.
