“Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
€90 – provide iftar to a fasting family of six in Pakistan for a month.
A fifth of Pakistanis are undernourished, and almost half of all children are stunted. A staggering 41 million people were undernourished before the pandemic, destroying livelihoods and making it even harder for families to have a steady supply of food.
Our Feed the Fasting programme helps you to spread mercy to vulnerable families, and receive Allah’s mercy in the holy month of Ramadan.
Give €90 today, and we’ll make sure it gets to a vulnerable family this Ramadan, allowing them to be free to worship, fast, and remember Allah, without worrying if they’ll be able to break their fast.
What will each parcel provide?
Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Pakistan, your donation will provide a family of six with around 50 kilograms of nutritious food including flour, rice, sugar, chickpeas, lentils, spices, syrup, vermicelli, salt, oil and dates.
When you donate, we’ll provide nutritious month-long food parcels to 892 of the most vulnerable families in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore, as well as in Mansehra in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Helping a total of 5,798 people, this project will be focusing on families that spend 90% of their income on food, helping to relieve the severe burden they face in Ramadan.
Why give with Human Appeal?
We’ve been feeding fasting families for over 30 years, in which time we’ve developed streamlined programmes that put the needs of the communities we help first. Last Ramadan, your charity allowed us to provide 178,627 people with iftar across 10 countries, including 33,364 in Pakistan.
Due to local restrictions on gatherings, we’ll be delivering food parcels as locally as possible to families in Pakistan. This year, we need your help to support the many vulnerable families, who are facing hunger and job insecurity as the effects of the pandemic continue to damage livelihoods.
Share an iftar with a vulnerable family, and reap the mercy of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Give mercy now.
