Iraq Ramadan Food Parcel

Iraq Ramadan Food Pack

“Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Source - Al-Tirmidhi)

After decades of conflict and instability in Iraq, 2.4 million people need help to support their food or livelihoods. 1.2 million people are still displaced and the devaluation of the Iraqi dinar has drastically affected families’ ability to cope.

€90 – provide iftar and suhoor to a fasting family in Iraq for a month.

Charity brings mercy upon those who receive as well as those who give. Be a mercy to an Iraqi family struggling to afford food, and reap the blessings of Ramadan.

Give €90 today, and we’ll make sure it gets to a vulnerable family this Ramadan, leaving you free to worship, fast, and remember Allah, safe in the knowledge that your charity is in expert hands. Be a mercy, and multiply your blessings this Ramadan.

What will each food parcel provide?

Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Iraq, your donation will provide a family-of-six with over 113 kilograms of nutritious food including flour, rice, sugar, lentils, eggs, beans, bulgur, chicken, tea, powdered milk, macaroni salt, oil and dates.

When you donate, we’ll provide nutritious month-long food parcels to 850 of the most vulnerable families in Erbil, where many people have been plunged into more hardship after displacement camps were closed.

Helping a total of 5,100 people, we’ll be focusing on families that have orphans, are led by women, or have escaped gender-based violence.

Give a Ramadan food parcel now, and allow us to deliver your charity in time for the month of mercy.

Why give with Human Appeal?

We’ve been feeding fasting families for over 30 years, in which time we’ve developed efficient, high-quality programmes that put the needs of the communities we help first. Last Ramadan, your charity allowed us to provide over 133,620 people with iftar across 14 countries, including 7,971 people in Iraq.

This year, spread mercy to a vulnerable family affected by gender-based violence and hunger in Iraq. Your mercy can feed the fasting.

Give mercy now.

Please note, if sufficient funds are not raised for a particular project, your donation may be reallocated to where the need is greatest.
