“Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Source - Ibn Khuzaymah)
In Afghanistan, 90% of people have not had enough food for the last 10 months. 3.2 million babies and young children are acutely malnourished, and a staggering 20 million Afghans are facing crisis levels of hunger.
€150 – provide iftar and suhoor to a fasting family-of-six in Afghanistan for a month, providing a total of 360 meals.
When you feed the fasting through our projects, you offer the mercy of nutritious meals to the most vulnerable families, and receive Allah’s mercy in the holy month of Ramadan.
Each year in Afghanistan, climate change disasters such as drought, floods, landslides and earthquakes kill approximately 250,000 people, in a country where 80% of all livelihoods depend on agriculture.
Give €150 today, and we’ll deliver your charity to vulnerable family in Afghanistan this Ramadan, allowing them to be free to worship, fast, and remember Allah, without worrying if they’ll be able to break their fast.
Be a mercy to a fasting family.
What will each parcel provide?
Each parcel will contain staple local foods, ingredients for Ramadan, and nutritionally-rich items. In Afghanistan, your donation will provide a family with more than 112 kilograms of nutritious food including flour, pulses, high-calorie biscuits, nutritional bars, salt, and oil.
With your help, we want to provide nutritious month-long food parcels to at least 115 of the most vulnerable families in Kabul, Kunar, Nangharhar, and Khost.
Helping a total of at least 748 people, this project will be focusing on families that are displaced or have sick, pregnant, children, or older family members, helping to relieve the severe burden they face in Ramadan.
Give a Ramadan food parcel now, and allow us to deliver your charity in time for the month of mercy.
Why give with Human Appeal?
We’ve been feeding fasting families for over 30 years, in which time we’ve developed efficient, high-quality programmes that put the needs of the communities we help first. Last Ramadan, your charity allowed us to provide over 133,620 people with iftar across 14 countries, including 8,890 people in Afghanistan.
This year, we need your help to support the many vulnerable families, who are facing hunger and job insecurity as the effects of the pandemic continue to damage livelihoods.
Share an iftar with a vulnerable family, and reap the mercy of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Your mercy can feed the fasting.
Give mercy now.
Please note, if sufficient funds are not raised for a particular project, your donation may be reallocated to where the need is greatest.
