As we rise each morning of Ramadan, another 5,700 children will wake up newly-orphaned. No child should be left to feel this fear alone. Right now, we have 6,432 orphans registered with us, urgently awaiting a caring sponsor. Become a sponsor today, and be a mercy to a child of the ummah in this blessed month of mercy.
Orphans are among the most vulnerable people in the ummah, often facing hunger, disease, exploitation and extreme cycles of poverty that they need help to break out of.
Your sponsorship is a mercy to a child, helping them to break that cycle, and give them the opportunity that all children deserve – a chance to be healthy, protected, and educated. Importantly, sponsorship also makes sure they get to go on learning unlike some of their peers who must leave school to go work to support themselves and their families.
In his lifetime, the Messenger – himself an orphan - cared for orphans, and promised great reward for those who did the same. This Ramadan, entrust your sponsorship to our 30 years of experience in caring for orphaned children. Be a mercy to an orphaned child. €45 per month helps to cover the cost of:
You can also give your sponsorship in a one-off annual payment of €540 if you prefer and reap the multiplied blessings of Ramadan in full. That’s just €1.45 per day, or €10.15 per week. And it’s Zakat-applicable too!
Currently our sponsors are helping over 22,000 orphans across nine countries, but we have thousands more who are registered with us and waiting for someone to sponsor them.
Become a sponsor in this month of mercy, and help give a child a safer today, and a brighter tomorrow.
Change a life
When you sponsor an orphan this Ramadan, you’ll give a child the opportunity that all children deserve – a chance to be healthy, protected, and educated.
We also provide training to their mothers or caregivers about protection, helping to safeguard them from common risks and dangers.
Orphan sponsorship is all on your terms – you can choose to sponsor a certain child, or sponsor someone based on their age, or location. Or, you can leave it to our Orphan and Child Welfare team to select the child in most urgent need of sponsorship. It takes just a few minutes to register, and to begin to change a child’s life.
Give mercy today.
Why sponsor through Human Appeal?
We’ve been helping supporters to sponsor orphans for 30 years. Currently, our supporters are sponsoring over 22,000 orphans across nine countries. It’s Zakat-applicable, allowing you to fulfil this beautiful Islamic duty, while reaping the blessings of Ramadan.
We’ve witnessed how one sponsorship can change a whole future, and we’ve developed a programme that puts the child’s needs first.
In order to qualify for child sponsorship, an orphaned child must remain in school, which safeguards their right to an education and a future, and helps to give them the tools to support themselves once they become young adults in the world. We also provide training to their mothers or caregivers about protection, helping to safeguard them from common risks and dangers.
In this blessed month of mercy, entrust your precious charity to us and change a young life. It’s a beautiful Sadaqah Jariyah; the safety, knowledge and health that you provide an orphan with will benefit them for the rest of their lives, and bring blessings upon you too!
Protection, safeguarding, and accountability
Our number one priority in all our work is protecting the rights, dignity and safety of the people we support.
Throughout all stages of sponsorship, we perform vigorous checks, measures, and policies to ensure that all children we work with are protected from harm. All staff working with children are vetted and trained in child protection, and we have designated child protection coordinators who ensure that our Child Protection Policy is followed, that children are protected, and that any complaints are reported and escalated.
Change a child’s future. Honour the legacy of the Messenger. Be a mercy.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two” – and he gestured with his forefinger and middle finger, holding them close together.
In Islam, sponsoring an orphaned child is one of the most righteous deeds a Muslim can perform.
