Ramadan: What if it was the last?
All that is happening in the world today, the wars, the displacement, the migration crisis, the food insecurities, the ecological crisis etc; makes us realise how vulnerable we are as human beings.
No one knows when this will all end. No one knows when our time will come to an end, when we will be answerable for our actions. All that we know, is that we are here now! we can adapt, we can change and we can take action. We can also help those around us; this is what truly matters.
How are you making a difference in this world?
How are you spreading light and love in this times of darkness and hardship? Now is the time to give
The True Spirit of Ramadan.
This Ramadan will be very different for all of us. It will be marked by an epidemic that has taken over our lives. Our global village is now marred with panic, fear, death and isolation. The world feels so small all of a sudden.
What if we told you, this Ramadan is no different for millions around the world facing war, migration, insecurity, hunger and little or no access to healthcare?
What if we told you there were people living in fear and isolation before covid-19 caused us sleepless nights?
Although Covid-19 is a disaster for us, the virus is also an opportunity for us to realise that our time is limited. An opportunity for us to remember that there are vulnerable people who are living with no hope of tomorrow. The true spirit of Ramadan.
Now is time to spread hope; to create a just world free from poverty and suffering. Together we can make this all a distant memory!
Now is the time to offer a future to the vulnerable orphaned children; who fight every day to survive.
Now is the time to be united against the coronavirus; and protect and support the vulnerable in our communities.
Now is the time to save lives in war-torn Syria.
Now is the time to make clean water accessible in Gaza; where more than 96% of the water that flows is polluted.
Now is the time to give Zakat; to purify the wealth Allah (swt) has given you.
Now is the time to feed the fasting; €7 can provide a meal for someone in need.
Now is the time to pay your Fidya and Kaffarah; to make up for missed fasts.
Now is the time to do all that we can; however little, to benefit from the immense rewards of this blessed month of Ramadan.
If this was our last? What legacy do we want to leave? What deeds do we want to take with us?
Now is the time to give; the time to multiply our rewards.
Now is the time to donate to our Ramadan projects; and help us end global poverty and suffering.Donate Now
