Winter Appeal 2015 Ireland Syria and Palestine

This is a time to show appreciation and gratitude to our families and dear ones. It is a time where we are reminded of what is important to us and a time for giving and making new memories.

During these festive occasions, there are families, both inside Ireland and throughout the world, who find this season one of hardship and difficulty. Globally, 1 in every 122 are now either a refugee, internally displaced, or seeking asylum, meaning a vast portion of the world will approach Christmas with trepidation for their future. There are many hundreds of families in Ireland who are also experiencing homelessness.

We would ask you to remember such people, faced with uncertain futures.

This Year, we are focusing on three very worthwhile winter projects: Our Syria Refugees Appeal, Our Palestine Childrens School and Accomodation Centre, and Our Irish Homelessness Partnership. Please support one of these projects however you can.

Syria

Our team of experienced aid workers is operating in Lesbos and on the Macedonia-Greece border providing assistance to those in most need.

Meanwhile we continue our life-saving work in Syria, Turkey, and Lebanon supplying tonnes of food-aid, shelter, warm clothing and healthcare facilities as well as assisting schools that provide education to refugee children.

Through our partnership with Jacket Off Your Back we will provide much needed assistance to homeless people throughout Ireland this Christmas. We will help provide warm clothing and blankets as well as hygiene packs for single people and families who find themselves out in the cold. Please donate what you can.
