Aid Shipment to Syria Medical Centre

Our shipment of Medical equipment has reached Lebanon and is en route to Syria. the shipment which was collected from donors throughout Ireland has an estimated value of €300,000. It is just the latest in our series of 21 containers. We have also distributed with our UK partners some 14,000 tonnes of flour and many thousands of food-packs. The for more aid need is however still very great with more than 12 million people having been displaced by the conflict in the last four years

#Children4peace family event day

Well over a 150 children from throughout Dublin came together to express their solidarity with their Syrian counter-parts. They did so in an atmosphere of positivity and hope recognising that children of conflict need to be told that they have not been forgotten by the outside world.
A variety of fun events were organised for the children while adults had the opportunity to see the work of the charity's aid projects. Staff and volunteers who have been to the troubled region were also on hand to explain the work we do there.

Vocational Training Centre Project

This training centre project will work directly with women from low income areas in Bangladesh to help them to build their careers and improve the lives of their families
Bangladesh has a total population of over 150.4 million out of which women are traditionally one of the poorest and most economically dis-empowered groups.
This project will promote more productive employment opportunities to help foster sustainable income generation and opportunities for education.

Working to support local community groups

We have been running a very successful local community support project called 'shopshare' in our Dundrum Charity Shop. On the 27th and 28th of March all proceeds from our shop were donated to support Dundrum Special Olympics. We were delighted with the level of support our friends in this fantastic community group received.
If you know of a community or local group that you think would be interested in joining our 'shopshare' please let us know at
